Greetings, If I'm reading http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/API:E-mail correctly, there appear to be no (technical) restrictions preventing anybody capable of creating a MediaWiki account from spamming every user with a registered mailing address. Please tell me I'm wrong, and I'm not going to wake up some day to an avalanche of Wikipedia e-mail about Viagra and penis extensions in my inbox?
I'm asking because I'm about to add an email operation to my MediaWiki::Gateway Ruby gem, and would prefer that this not be used for evil.
