Hello all, We are happy to share that Indic MediaWiki Developers User Group [1] is planning to organize a newcomer training + hackathon at Amrita University [2] in collaboration with amFOSS [3]. amFOSS, a student-run community with over 50+ members from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, over the last 14 years. We believe this collaboration will be helpful to explore opportunities with other open-source communities.
We welcome any feedback and suggestions on welcoming newcomers into Wikimedia technical spaces, and experiences if you have conducted similar activities in the past.
