I tried this and yes, collapsible nav worked, until ... ... I had to step back, 'cause the side effects are intolerable: - searchbox is filled with rubbish - some labels are undecipherable for my users - some new edit features are unusable Sad to say, but I'm still not able to use collapsible nav.
