A complete solution will probably consist of:

* Ensure https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$wgAllowDisplayTitle is set
to true. It is set to true by default since MediaWiki 1.11.
* Using the magic word DISPLAYTITLE. See documentation at
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Magic_words#Technical_metadata
* Enabling extension https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Display_Title
