Thanks for your bug report. I'm not able to reproduce your issue (karmic
amd64 too).
Could you paste/attach the result of the following command here?
apt-cache policy ffmpeg
apt-cache policy libavcodec-extra-52
apt-cache policy libavformat-extra-52
