I confirm the problem in GE on clean installation of Ubuntu 10.04 (64bit) and Ati Radeon xpress 1150 (RS485 chip) graphic card. I suspect the graphic driver to be a problem. Another problem (probably with graphic driver) is slight tearing of the video on full screen.
