We have built exploding charges, so that it is one procedure description (CT Abdomen/Pelvis), but when it goes to B/AR, it explodes to two procedure charges. That way it is all encompasses into one, and the description covers it. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kloese, Fred Sent: Wednesday, March 29, 2006 12:36 PM To: MEDITECH-L Subject: FW: [MEDITECH-L] Client Server: CT Image Storage in PACS We use orders and results interfaces. In the combination order case you have below, we would store the image only once, but attach a transcribed result to each order. The transcribed result updates the order status on the PACS. HTML will be converted to attachments. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== We have a radiologist who's concerned about the way CT images are currently being stored in our PACS. Today we get orders/requisitions through MT and then this information is pulled to CT worklist and then that information is transferred to PACS when the study is completed. The problem in CT is a timing issue with our IV contrast agent and the way studies are done simultaneously (CT chest, abdomen, and pelvis) for instance. Because of the contrast we cannot stop doing the chest switch to the abdomen information in the worklist and then switch to the pelvis information, but when all of this transfers to PACS it appears as one study (whichever information is pulled from worklist) most likely CT chest in this instance. He's concerned that some studies may appear to have not been done by looking at the PACS.
