Of course, being able to have ready access to documentation doesn't
necessarily have to happen in Process Interventions. Isn't that what
PCI was built for, to give view access to data from every part of
MediTech without having to give the access in each area and teach people
how to use each area?

I agree that it is a problem that Meditech has yet to address. They
should have an option to set documents to View only. You can set up
this user(and the ST person you mention) in a different Nurse Access
dictionary than their staff. On page 2, you can identify that you want
to Include Types of GRP, and then identify all of the Nurse Types you
want this user to have access to(PT,OT,MT,ST,etc). Leave the
interventions as they are. The rest of the staff's Include Types is, I
assume, set to OWN, so they would continue to only be able to view and
document on their own forms.

Speaking as a therapist, however, I disagree that the staff "shouldn't
have to look at all those that don't belong to them." Being able to
readily view documents completed by other disciplines is important from
an interdisciplinary care planning standpoint. While its annoying to
have to wade through other discipline's documents to document on yours,
it is still important for a PT to be able to see how a patient is doing
in OT, or vice versa.

I'm new to the list server so, I apologize if this is an old question.

We have managers of departments with several disciplines. We would
like for the managers to be able to see the interventions of those
disciplines for training & problem resolution issues.

e.g. The Director of Physical Medicine is a PT ... when he does
patient care, he needs to sign as a PT so that is his provider type.
BUT, he also needs to see the interventions of OT's, ST's, and MT's.
(for training & problem solving issues) If I put his user type (PT) on
the OT,ST, & MT interventions, all his PT's will see all the
interventions when they shouldn't. They shouldn't be using those
interventions and they shouldn't have to look at all those that don't
belong to them.

I have a similar situation with a ST who runs an even bigger department
with Audiologists and a couple levels of assistants.

How do you all deal with this?

I really appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks!
