Fri Jun 30, 2006 2:42 pm Taken By: DANIEL BLAIS (5667 IN) Howard: We are looking for some information on: Meditech sites with a Physician practice (preferably using LSS software) utilizing Provider based "OPTION 2 BILLING" which incorporates placing charges on a UB instead of a 1500. Provider based billing forces us to use the same provider number for both the hospital and physician practice. Medicare is now limiting our ability to process only 1 claim per day per patient. So...if a patient visits the practice and the hospital on the same day, we are not able to send 2 claims, however need to combine both claims. We are seeking other facilities who are experiencing this problem.
