We are in the process of implementing CPOE and are trying to build OE Order Sets but are having lots of trouble with Clinical Paths. Has anyone had any success with this? We are struggling with the verbiage/detail that is needed on a Clinical Path. Example: LEVAQUIN 500mg IV daily until afebrile 24 hours, then begin LEVAQUIN 500mg PO daily. (Do not order With ROCEPHIN - MONOTHERAPY ONLY) -- OR - ROCEPHIN 1 gm IV daily until afebrile 24 hours, then begin CEFTIN 500mg PO q12hrs. Plus a macrolide: [ ] BIAXIN 500mg [ ] ZITHROMAX 250mg [ ] PCE 500mg If allergic to macrolides: VIBRAMYCIN 100mg PO bid (I left out some details, but you get the picture.)
