Our ER uses the SHORT FORM registration (which takes less than a minute)
and is completed later after an Admitting staff member has gathered
further information from the patient or patient's family. This process
has reduced labeling errors for us to < 1%.
I'm assuming that by "not labeled at the bedside" you mean with a
Meditech-generated label; otherwise, your phlebotomy staff MUST be
required to hand-write pt name
