Our patient flow committee is asking that we set up a process where we can have the system (either through ADM or EDM) automatically send a notification to the patient's primary care physician when they are registered to the Emergency Room. I'm thinking this can be done via the OA message function but I'm not sure how to make it automatic without the registration clerks manually printing/faxing to the correct PCP. Has anybody already accomplished this? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy new year! - Mike Michael T.
