Coffee Health Group in northwest Alabama seeks to hire an experienced clinical IT professional to join its Information Systems team. The Clinical Applications Manager will lead a team of analysts to implement and refine clinical software applications for Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, Shoals Hospital, and ECM East Diagnostic and Rehabilitation facility. Application areas will include, but are not limited to: laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, clinical documentation and care planning, bedside medication verification and administration, emergency department documentation, surgery management, and computerized physician order entry.
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse and Information Systems professional with skills in clinical documentation, bedside medication verification/administration, emergency department documentation, and/or computerized physician order entry. RN licensure required, MSN preferred. In addition to nursing experience in an acute care setting, a background in healthcare IT project management and some prior supervisory experience is required. Previous job experiences that are applicable include hospital nursing unit manager or charge nurse, hospital IS clinical systems analyst, and systems vendor implementation specialists. Some occasional travel is required for site visits, industry conferences, and user group meetings.
