Brandon,

We have several reports that look for a patient in the ED first. They
look for the presence of an ER Physician on the record. This field is
only used in the ER registration routine, but the answer is saved in the
record when the patient changes statuses. You can say the field
er.doctor is not equal (NE) to nil ("") in your selections. Hope that
helps!

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] ER to OBS report

We are C/S 5.4SR2 and I was wondering if anyone has a report out there
that can tell the number of patients within a time frame that went from
ER to ADM INo status. I can get the list of all of the ADM INo patients
for the time frame but I am having a hard time figuring out how to pull
them only if they were ER first. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,
