Hi Ron, We were doing what you are now prior to last year and have moved to centralized scheduling. We did not have to purchase any other software and just use Meditech's CWS. If you would like to know more please feel free to email me or call me. I'm actually talking about this at MUSE too since it seems to be a popular subject. Good luck! We currently use CWS in cardiology, radiology, rehab, and physician offices. However, each department is responsible for doing their own schedule. As a result, two or three phone calls are often needed. We are considering implementing centralized scheduling, in which a group of schedulers would schedule for all departments. The goal is to be able to schedule multiple appointments with one phone call. If you are doing centralized scheduling, did you have to purchase additional software to make it work, or were you able to accomplish it using only Meditech's CWS? Please let me know if you would be willing to speak to us, and possibly let us make a site visit.
