Sharon,

Unfortunately, there is nothing similar in C/S to see ACK orders out
beyond 24 hours. You can see these future orders in EMR but, of course,
they cannot be processed.

Hopefully enough sites will encourage Meditech to include this
functionality via MIX requests...

Subject: RE: [MEDITECH-L] BMV - FUTURE MED ORDERS - CS

I saw this message and had to immediately test as I thought you could
bring future orders up in the emar.

We are magic 5.5, sr2.

If an order is entered for the future, I can see it in the emar as long
as I have the date range set so it encompasses the start date.

We have ours set to show any active med orders from T-1 0000 till T+1
2359. So for an order to start tomorrow, it shows up without problems
because of that setting. To see an order entered for anything greater
than T+1, I can go so SO (Sort Order) and change my date range at the
bottom of the screen.

The inactive orders don't follow this setting as ours drops off after 24
hours unless I change it in SO.

The default setting is determined by what is set in the Nursing
Parameters for Process Events. You define the start date and time, end
date and time.

Hopefully, there is something similar for C/S.

Sharon

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] BMV - FUTURE MED ORDERS - CS

A question came up here, following testing, and we are curious as to how
this is being handled. The question pertains to future med orders
(Physician orders med to begin tomorrow (greater than 24 hours).
Meditech states it will not appear on the e-MAR, so how is the Nurse to
ACKnowledge it? Have you encountered this issue? If so, how are you
handling it?

Thanks,
