Tina,

Summit Healthcare has tools that are used for scripting. I
currently use their scripting toolkit to update dictionaries. My latest
project has been to update information in the pharmacy dictionary. The
scripting tool is very versatile, I use it for projects beyond Meditech. It
has functionality in it to provide Windows Scripting also. You can build
scripts using their Script Tags, which are very simple/straight forward, or you
can build them using Visual Basic. They also have a tool called InSync, which
does dictionary synchronization. It gives you real-time access to your
Meditech dictionaries, and a nice GUI that allows you to compare LIVE to TEST.
You just go through, choose which data you would like, and then it scripts the
changes back into the dictionary. You do NOT have to write any NPR’s to
download the data first, then compare them. Very nice tool. I would recommend
view Summit Healthcare’s products.

Thanks,

Shane
