We use PowerScribe Voice Recognition for our Pathology department. We have purchased interface from Iatric system. So far pathologists, PA, and transcriptionists (Editors) are satisfied with the process. The workflow within the product can be customized to fit your need if you want to keep the same workflow as you have now. Our workflow is the PA or PA students dictate gross into PowerScribe and send that to editors. Editors then correct the dictation and upload it to Meditech gross data section. Later on Pathologist dictates his/her diagnosis and have an option of self edit or send to editor. If it is self edit then he/or she upload the diagnosis to Meditech diagnosis data section. Otherwise would send that to editor for correction and upload. Pathologist then would sign the report in Meditech. Of course you could have it your way!
