For IVI it depends on which part of the IVI segment we are addressing.  GENIVI 
architects have stated the offline and runtime storage can never be too small.  
Some vendors scale down to 16Meg for initial boot up and device audio and 
visual initialization (radio playing, rear camera display working), with 64 to 
128 meg of RAM at full runtime.  There is resounding agreement a 500 meg 
installable image is too big.
