Hmm, I don't actually agree with this bit. Hashtags are the standard way
to accomplish this, and I thought that was what was originally proposed. 
I only saw one person suggest using @replies and didn't see anyone else
agree with that suggestion.

The way Twitter handles @replies makes your proposal problematic. If
I want to post something to Twitter about MeeGo and I include
@meegocom, most people won't see it because of how Twitter filters
@replies and only shows them to you if you are following both accounts 
or if you've configured your account to see all replies.

As a Twitter user, I'm happy to include a hashtag, but I wouldn't want to 
include an @reply in my message. Or I would have to post it twice, which
defeats the purpose.
