Hi all, I was really impressed by this video from Jeremy Ruston, so much so I wanted to recommend it to the list.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1367090902421004372&hl=en&emb=1 He touches all the bases - starting with code, having the right reasons for opening the code, the basic infrastructure you need, why free software hackers prefer email, that most patches suck, and how to live with that, and transferring code rights to non-profits. It's unusual to see someone well placed in a company like BT who is so clueful in this area. I don't agree with all of what he says (particularly, I think that maintaining a relatively low barrier to participation into the core is important, by helping people submit better patches). Cheers, Dave. -- maemo.org docsmaster Email: [email protected] Jabber: [email protected] _______________________________________________ MeeGo-community mailing list [email protected] http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-community
