I think I've heard the name before, but truly this is the first time I read
anything about HelenOS. After reading the basics, the most important
thing I registered was that it is a micro-kernel based multiserver OS.

I can't talk on behalf of people who have better understanding of the
MeeGO (also Maemo and Moblin) architecture. But from my basic
understanding, MeeGo is essentially a Linux distribution running a
Linux kernel. So whatever HelenOS has in common with Linux whould
hold true. Other than that I don't expect to see much common things
at that level.

Sorry for not being able to give a more technical answer. But I don't see
MeeGo changing from the standard Linux architecture drastically, IMHO.
