One day there will be a public roadmapping process done at a MeeGo
project level. On top of this specific projects may have their own
planning activities. No mater how, ideally the plan for the release is
public and fully committed by the time the release starts.

The MeeGo Conference is indeed a good venue to discuss the direction of
the MeeGo platform and related projects, but waiting for a MeeGo
Conference to agree the roadmap of a next release sounds too risky.

I won't be surprised if another MeeGo events emerges by the time the
first 2011 release is out. There haven't been discussions about this but
it makes sense. Probably smaller and more focused on the project
maintainers and platform developers directly involved.

Maybe in the future we even have it the other way around: the big
massive conference happens in Spring when the Northern Hemisphere enjoys
good weather and then in the dull Autumn we have the smaller one with
basically full time employees closed in a big room during 3 days because
anyway it's dark and raining outside. ;)

Or find alternative Southern venues and meet every six months but always
in Spring.
