My apologies if this is not the best mailing list on which to ask:

1. Would the Compliance spec prevent the problems that MS has caused
with the encrypted SD card in Windows Phone 7?

2. Would the Compliance spec prevent vendors from putting system files
in non-standard locations? It can be a major annoyance for
application developers if (for example) /etc/resolv.conf gets stuffed
in /etc/someuseulessgarbage/resolv.conf instead. Vendors should be
able to put their own config files wherever they want, although an
ideal spec might want to suggest the usual places even there.

I'm having a lot of fun playing with the Pandaboard . . .
