At the minimum it's a useful service for local developers as it can be
quicker than a local machines. These images are also available to testers
and it makes sharing easier.
So a summary might be, the speed of cross-compilation without the
headache of cross-compilation?
What's *really* interesting is that it has a BOSS interface .. so you can
drop it into a process and build an image whenever an SR arrives.
SR == Support Request?
Submit Request ... the mechanism OBS uses to promote a package from one area to
the next; experimental->testing->stable/RC
That can
then be fired into OTS and the results used to determine acceptance of the
SR. Of course you don't even need to use OTS - just building an image can
highlight many issues.

As it says, developed by Nokia and used to run image based tests. We're planning
on doing an image-based regression test to determine acceptance of each package
into Trunk - ie if you fail regression then your package is rejected.
