I'd like to note that a change has just landed in the upstream source of
Fennec (on all of mozilla-central, -aurora, and -beta) that
significantly speeds up startup on Android. It didn't come out as a win
in our internal maemo5 test runs at Mozilla, but as it significantly
reduces the size of a on-disk SQLite log, it might have an influence on
the MeeGo side of things.
As the whole build runs out of a single repository now, I think Fennec
should be updated relatively frequently and probably from the -beta repo
from upstream, as that's supposed to be more or less release candidate
quality all the time (right now it's holding Fennec 5).
