Oh, cool ;)

Try installing on some other directory (like /tmp/madde)

After installation, copy relevant files from <instdir>/0.7.48/cache to
/usr/lib/madde/<linux...>/cache

then delete $HOME/bin/mad and $HOME/bin/mad-admin and <instdir>
