Hello,

I'm interested in simulating the absorption rate for some materials as discussed in the wiki page 'Materials in Meep'.

There, it's stated with respect to the absorption rate dP/dt . E that "Meep can keep track of this energy for the Lorentzian polarizability terms (but not for the conductivity terms), which for gain gives the amount of energy expended in amplifying the field."

In the wiki Reference page however, I didn't find any indication of how to access the absorption rate or the Polarization field P. I also checked the mailing list but didn't find a relevant example. Is this possible, and are there any examples available of how to do this?

Kind Regards,
Matt
