Dear Steven and all,
Suddenly a weird idea came to my mind. Generally speaking the epsilon
or refractive index is considered to be intensity-dependent for Kerr material.
If the pump light is finite in time just like a pulse, then the epsilon or
refractive index of the material will show a kind of time variation induced by
the pump light. So with meep can I directly establish a time-varying function
for the epsilon? Is this possible, just equivalently like a kind of Kerr
nonlinearity without the pump field?
Many thanks for your suggestions and help.
          Yours sincerely.
