Hi all,

I am pretty new to MEEP fdtd simulations, I wanted to simulate the
radiation pattern of a metal conductor near the antenna. I placed the metal
conductor in the near field region and plotted the far-fields as in the
tutorial example - antenna-radiation.py. I am having difficulty
understanding the results. The link below has the simulated results I got
for the metal conductor placed parallel to the y-axis as well as the x-axis.

My concern is: Why is the Poynting flux to the opposite side as the metal
conductor(above plot) when the conductor is parallel to the y-axis, and
to the same side in the case of conductor parallel to the x-axis(below
plot) ?? I expected this to follow the same trend. This made me confused.

I feel like there is something that I might be missing in the code.
If anyone has some insights on the same. Please help.

Thank you
