Yes, they are important.

For that reason, It's appropriate for employers to *directly* engage
with this community.

But this is not, IMO, an appropriate forum for job recruiting agents to
solicit on behalf of “my client”.

The legitimacy of the position isn't in question. This is not, and IMO
should not become, an advertising forum for recriutment agencies.
