I'm pretty sure those commit SHAs are bad, since none except the last make any sense. I'm pretty sure that https://git.gnome.org/browse/meld/commit/?id=8463b8 didn't break cygwin. However, the crash looks familiar, so... > 1. commit 8463b8 caused a crash when starting meld in cygwin: This was fixed shortly thereafter, in https://git.gnome.org/browse/meld/commit/?id=bbcf9904b9a2a7656f89908cfe607332fede49e6 > 2. With commit 8463b8 reverted, commit b831bb7 is good, but commit > 0fccdab is bad. No crash dump. Meld just does not start. Does your username contain unicode? If so this apparently crashes things: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=709058 The fix looks reasonably simple and should go into the 1.8 branch soonish. It may involving moving Meld preferences from roaming appdata to local appdata, but other than that I think it's low impact. cheers, Kai _______________________________________________ meld-list mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/meld-list
