Also, for anyone coming up to speed on the current state of melkjug,
please also have a look at our in development version at:

This address presently only works on the TOPP network (in office or

your account may work there as well.

Hey everyone,
Coming up very soon we'll be doing a visual redesign of Melkjug and
releasing it more solidly into the world. In order to get that
process going we'll be having a kick-off meeting on Thursday at 11am
to get everyone involved together in the same room and make sure
roles, process, and deadlines are clear. If your name is Bryan,
Chris, Luke, Phil, Rollie, or Sonali then you should probably be
there.
Our goal is to develop a visual identity for Melkjug (http://melkjug.com/
) that is in line with the brand (http://melkjug.openplans.org/) and
experience design (http://melkjug.openplans.org/experience-design)
that has already been established for the project. More specific
goals and desires will come from Luke.
The roles on this project will be as follows:
* Luke, Decision maker — He is the project manager, all of his
decisions are ultimate and final.
* Sonali & Bryan, Product design —They have articulated the goals
and tone of the product, including copywriting and interaction
design. We should work from the foundation that they have
established (http://melkjug.openplans.org/experience-design).
* Phil, Creative direction — He'll be stewarding the look-and-feel
of the product and has final say on visual design (before Luke's
approval).
* Chris, Web design — He'll be implementing the visual design and
organizing the templates to keep them accessible to an open source
community (with the support of Luke and/or Josh).
Deliverables from Phil include design documents on the project wiki
that specify the visual identity as well as production-ready assets
for Chris to implement by August 3rd. The implementation should be
complete by August 20th.
Phil and Chris, you should probably join this list:

See y'all Thursday,
