Do any Cities without a replacement fund for computers lease them? If so, I would like to talk to you about the advantages and disadvantages of leasing computers. The City of St. Helena currently purchases computers, but we do not have a replacement fund for them. We are considering a 3 year lease with a FMV purchase option in the end (offered by Dell). The interest rate is about 5.6%. Our intent would be to replace the computers at the end of the 3 year lease with a new lease and new computers.
