Julie:

The City of Burbank switched to Microsoft Outlook about a year ago, and it
has worked out very well. Aside from just e-mail, the calendar option lets
you keep track of all your appointments and meetings. The calendar can be
viewed and kept by other people as well, such as the secretary. Outlook
also has a contact organizer, as well as a tasking system to keep track of
your tasks. The task system is valuable too, as other people could access
your tasks if you wanted and you can assign tasks to other people through
Outlook.

Overall, it has proven to be a valuable tool for our City.

The City of El Cerrito is considering moving to a new e-mail system
from the inadequate system we are currently using. We would like to
know what other cities are using for e-mail (Microsoft Outlook,
Novell GroupWise, etc.)

Thanks for your help.
