We (City of Palmdale) are currently in the process of evaluating our financial institution. Since changing banks should not be done in haste, I am gathering input from other cities who have completed a similar analysis. Any input you provide will be greatly appreciated! Please reply by March 6th. What banks were being considered? What was the outcome of the analysis? (Did you switch or stay with your current bank?) For those who decided not to change banks: What contributed to deciding against it? For those who converted to a new banking facility: What was the determining factor in changing? Was it price, service, technological advancements (online/software) or other? What was the biggest advantage? Disadvantage? Given 20/20 hindsight, would you have switched? What aspects of the changeover would you go about differently? How long were accounts maintained at the previous institution (to cover outstanding checks)?
