The Town of Yucca Valley currently compensates its Council members
$300/month and is treated as part of the first payroll of the month with
social security deducted.  This is adversely affecting a council member
and was wondering how your council payments are issued.  Can they be
made as an AP payment with a 1099 issued at the end of the year.  (No
benefits are currently offered, but prior council members participated
in PERS).  I would like any input by March 17th.  Thank you in advance
for your help.
