The Board of EQualization sent a notice to county assessors and interested parties requesting comments to proposed changes on guidelines for clarify assessment of certain government properties held outside the local jurisdiction. For example, if your city owns property outside your city limits under certain circumstances that property may be taxable. If your city has such taxable property outside your city limits and you have not received a notice, you may want to contact the BOE for a copy of the draft as comments are due by March 31.
