Attached are the results of the recent query I sent out regarding ID tagging
of fixed assets. The original question was:

We are considering implementing an ID
tagging system for our fixed assets. We would appreciate receiving the
following info from you by Tuesday, April 18:

                                1. What is your dollar threshold for Fixed
Assets?
                                2. Do you put ID tags on fixed assets? (If
NO, you can stop here!)
                                3. Do you tag all fixed assets?
                                4. Do you tag all equipment regardless of
value?
                                5. What type of tags do you use (barcode,
metal ID)?
                                6. If you use barcode, please give the name
of the system you use.

The responses, in condensed form are in the attached Excel
spreadsheet. The full responses received are in the attached Word document.
If you have trouble reading either please let me know and I'll try another
format.

To summarize, most of the 25 cities and special districts
who responded do tag some or all of their fixed assets. NONE of the
respondents are currently using a barcode system, however, several do use
barcode tags. The City of Palmdale will be making a decision in a couple of
weeks on a barcode & fixed asset management system and the City of Pasadena
is looking at QueTel's barcode system.

Thank you for taking the time to respond!
