Can someone refresh my memory about FLSA exempt employees (i.e.
managers). Can they be suspended without pay and still be considered
exempt? Somewhere in the back of my mind I'm recalling that
suspensions less than 1 week are not permitted but suspensions more
than 1 week would not jeopardize the exempt status of the employee.
Does it matter what offense they committed (i.e. safety or just a
screw up)? Has anyone suspended a manager without pay? I've read
the FLSA book but you practically have to be an attorney to understand
it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
