Hi- We are starting to collect some data that we can use for performance measures for our department. One of the measures we are looking at this year is collection rates on utility bills and on ambulance bills. We bill for water, sewer and trash to about 22,000 customers. Our ambulance services are billed through a third party service (Whitman) and then sent to us if they can't collect. Is anyone else tracking collection rates on similar services? If so, are you willing to share your collection rates with us? I would be happy to exchange data with anyone else trying to track the same sorts of things. Also, if anyone has other performance measures which they feel are important for a finance department to track, please let me know. I am interested in identifying other measures but have had a tough time figuring out what to measure. Thanks for any help...
