The City is considering amending our PERS contract to allow credit for military service. Council requested a survey of other cities on this benefit: 1) Does your City allow credit for Military Service? 2) Who requested the benefit (managment, employees etc)? 3) Was it "negotiated"? 4) How many employees took advantage of this benefit? 5) What change did you experience in the PERS rate?
