Here's what I learned: Phil Carr spoke with the Parks department, an application process is being developed, we shouldn't look for funds until after Jan 2001 but hopefully before Jun 2001. The state budget must appropriate. The Governor's May revision has $674.3 million (page 46). It has some detail on projects but doesn't address local funding. "safeneighborhoods.org" states the funds can be available this fiscal year since we don't need to wait for bonds to be issued, loans can be made from the pooled money investment account. Again, subject to state appropriation. Other responses leaned towards July/Summer 2001. Thanks again for all your input! (Thanks Marc, Phil and Alex!) Side note: We're having a heat wave...yesterday it was 111 degrees! It should only be around 102 today.
