To all, I looked at the Resource Room at the CSMFO website but didn't find anything relevent. There is a group of Marines staying at one of the local motels. They are producing documentation that suggests that in some States that use of a certain type of Federal credit card exempts them from paying TOT. The documentation does not suggest that California is one of those States. According to our ordinance, and practice, we have never exempted Federal employees from paying TOT. My question: Are there any Federal Regulations that supersede local ordinance regarding payment of TOT? A quick response would be appreciated. Thanks! Jim --- J.C.
