Does anyone have experience calculating employee's maximum catch-up? I'm wondering what the employer's responsibility is as far as verifying prior contributions. We have people that are saying they did not contribute in the first three years they worked for us in the 70s or 80s, but I don't think we have records back that far. Also, some were at other employers and need those years, so would we have to verify with the other employer? PERS 457 doesn't seem to know. You'd think they could tell us the history for their plan, but they say they can't. Help!
