In an effort to keep pace with how different cities are responding to requests for increased benefits, the League is conducting a survey of what cities are doing in response to negotiations on 3%@50 retirement enhancements. An informal survey in February, so we thought it would be worthwhile to update the information. The same request has been sent to the HR staff. Briefly: 1. Has/will your city be negotiating any public safety contracts this year? 2. Has 3%@50 entered the negotiations? 3. Have you analyzed the cost to provide this benefit for 5, 10 or more years? 4. If the benefit is on the table, is it in lieu of other benefits or have counter offers been extended? 5. Any other information/issues that you encountered that you would like to share?
