My peers have used this e-mail group for important recruitment announcements, so please excuse me for taking the liberty. City of Moreno Valley Controller, Ruthie Quinto, has announced her resignation effective October 20th. Ruthie has two young children and plans to become a full-time mother. In just three short years, Ruthie has made some significant contributions to the City of Moreno Valley. Her associates in CSMFO as well as CMTA will miss her. The two biggest challenges facing this position are the GASB 34 implementation (effective 7/1/02) and coordinating the upcoming major new release of our City's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, JD Edwards' "Xe," including payroll and benefits. The core financials were successfully implemented in October, 1999. The Controller serves, not as the Project Manager, but as the Team Leader for the core financials and payroll.
