Good Morning Everyone: The City of Soledad would like to pick everyone's mind with regard to stipends for Planning Commissioners. Our Planning Commissioners have recently requested an increase in their monthly stipend. In order to accommodate their request our Attorney began researching limits on Planning Commissioners stipends. I know that City Council and Redevelopment Agency Boardmembers are subject to limitations based on population but we couldn't find anything pertaining to Planning Commissioner. My questions are: 1. Is your City paying Planning Commissioners any stipends? If so, What amount per month? 2. What is the Population of your City? 3. Are you a Charter City or General Law City. 4. If possible, can you refer me to any State or California Code section allowing payment to Planning Commissioners. If you have any information that I may not have requested but that you feel is important feel free to include it in your reply. There is no rush but any response would be appreciated.
