We in Canberra held another ACTDAT day last Sunday,
there were about 15 cars all told, some came, some
went and some stayed ( the die hards !!).
There were a number of discussions around the
formation of a ACT Datto car club. These discussions
are always on the adgenda when a few of us get
together.
Unfortunately there really are not enough of us to
form a club of any real impact or size. It occurred to
me that it could be feasible for us to have an "ACT
Chapter" of an existing club, say in Sydney,
Melbourne or Adelaide for example.
This proposal may benefit those clubs by increasing
their potential revenue and swelling their ranks with
keen proactive members.
Are there any committee members on the list who may be
able to steer us in the right direction with regard
this issue ? I am keen to pursue this as are a few
others of us. We do have some resources that could
contribute to the "parent club". I have not had the
opportunity to discuss this with other ACTDAT blokes
at this stage, but more interested in putting out some
feelers to determine if this is a "doable" option.
I am aware that the word "chapter" has some
questionable connotations, but I am sure we could live
with that !!
All constructive responses would be appreciated.
