Ozdat List,

This message just came in from Microsoft and i thought those of you who use MS Outlook 98 or 2000 just may like to be informed of this as it could be a good thing. Just think - no more problems with Melissa or KAK worm type viruses. What it doesn't seem to offer is any protection for Outlook Express Users. I have sent a request for further info on that to the MS Partner Network i wouldn't expect a reply until tomorrow as they're prolly tucked up in bed at the moment.

THIS MONTH'S HIGHLIGHT: OUTLOOK E-MAIL SECURITY UPDATE NOW AVAILABLE

Microsoft has announced the Outlook E-mail Security Update, a significant security enhancement to the Microsoft Outlook messaging and collaboration client. It is designed to thwart the spread and impact of many computer viruses -- including those similar to the "ILOVEYOU" and "Melissa" viruses. To provide a significantly improved level of security for Outlook users, this update limits certain functionality within Outlook: It prevents users from accessing certain e-mail attachments that could carry viruses and warns them if a program is trying to access their Outlook Address Book or send e-mail messages on their behalf.

The new security enhancement will be localized for international versions and will be available to download free* of charge from the Office Update Web site. For more information visit:
